cumplido qual de derecho se rrequiere al
regidor luis de tovar godines mi hermano
vezino desta dicha ciudad especialmente
para que por mi y en mi nombre y como
mi persona propia pueda recibir
y cobrar judicial o extrajudicialmente
de todas y qualesquier personas que
con derecho deva y de sus bienes todos y
qualesquier pesos de oro joyas esclavos
mercaderias y otros qualesquir bienes
rayzes y muebles que se me devan
o devieren por ecripturas conocimientos
traspasos sentencias quentas de libro
TranslationLet those who read this letter know that I, Luís de Tovar Godines, secretary of the Province of New Spain, in the name and voice of Antonio de Chayde, my brother, resident of the town of Queretaro, and by virtue of the power which I have from the aforesaid, that [this] took place before the present scribe, its contents being as follows.

Let those who read this letter know that I, Antonio de Chayde, resident of the town of Queretaro, being in this city of Mexico, bestow upon and recognize that I give my complete power which the law requires to the Councilman Luís de Tovar Godines, my brother, resident of this said city; particularly so that for me, and in my name and as my own person, he may receive and collect judicial- or extrajudicially from all and any persons who by law owe, and from their assets, all and any gold pesos, jewels, slaves, merchandise and any other assets, immovable and movable, which are owed or will be owed to me, through documents, promissory notes, cessions, sentences, book accounts, | page_0003Ssepan quantos esta carta vieren
