Memorandum,

My letter to Miss
Patrick and the proposed telegram, were
written on the same day, bear the same
date, and were written in the same house, write
my No 396 of July 16th, which informed Mr
Gresham that "a [Dr?] from the palace
brought me word that the [rieda?] had
[joined?] for Scutari College"

That [Dr?] was Munir Bey, as aide -
de - Camp of the Sultans, who was acompanied
by Abdullah Pasha, a [Turkish?] general, who
had just returned from march. The latter
casue from the Sultans to present his version
of events at march; which partly for [much?]
of time, and partly because I believed it not
this totally, I never [Dr?].
