posed to force cooled air through hollow
walls, electric fans being employed and
the air at the intakes cooled by passing
it through a water screen. By placing
the fan at the highest point on one side
of the building and the intake at the
lowest point on another, it is believed a
thorough circulation will be obtained. The
side most exposed to the rays of the sun
may be treated as a separate unit, with a greater flow of cooled air
and a more direct outlet. Engineers estimate that the cost of the
electric current would not exceed one cent an hour.

Every architect and builder, who is directly or indirectly interest-
ed in the problem of suggesting or contributing to the many material
things which wo to make homes more attractive, convenient and
comfortable, should know that the RUUD-HUMPHREY WATER
HEATER COMPANY OF TEXAS maintains offices in Dallas, Fort
Worth and Houston for the distribution of these justly famous Water
Heaters.

With the large and very complete line of both Ruud and Hum-
phrey Water Heates [Heaters] always carried in stock, the service to patrons
is immediate—goods being shipped promptly upon receipt of order.

The expert advice of their engineers, who have devoted years
of study to Water Heating problems, are at your command and you
are cordially invited to make inquiries, to the end that mutually
pleasant and profitable business relations may be established.

Interlocking Tile—The Best Wall

Interlocking Tile is the building material with which the architect
can and does give his clients fire-proof, non-conductive, damp-proof,
light weight walls at a lower cost than was the case before its in-
troduction. Interlocking Tile is brick which has been scientifically
improved. It not only is more easily and economically handled and
laid up, but also renders more efficient service.

Interlocking Tile is therefore one of the standard building ma-
terials with which the progressive architects are solving their wall
building problems. Naturally he who offers and gives his clients bet-
ter walls at lower cost outdistances his less alert and less observing
competitors.

Directions for use: Specify Interlocking Tile (now made in both
6-in. and 8-in. sizes) for all exterior walls where you want them to
be strong, rigid, absolutely damp-proof, warm in winter and cool in
summer, as well as low enough in cost to insure the job being let.
For very inexpensive cottages, factory buildings, side and rear walls
of business property, etc., leave the tile work exposed; it is more
pleasing than kiln run commons. Where ornamentation is required,
finish with stucco or face with face brick. For detail drawings see
“Details of Construction” booklet issued by Fraser Brick Company.

Interlocking Tile is sold at a uniform scale of prices in all parts
of the State, being manufactured by the Fraser Brick Company at
Ginger, and for them by Wichita Falls Brick & Tile Co., Wichita
Falls; Athens Tile & Silo Co., Athens; Seguin Brick & Tile Co.,
Seguin; and Star Clay Products Co., Elmendorf.

Efficiency, Economy and Service—the architect gets them all in
Interlocking Tile.
